Haiti returning to normal
The Associated Press recently reported that Haitian Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive ordered holding up trucks at the border carrying aid into Haiti from the Dominican Republic. One of the reasons he gave was “to raise revenues from commercial drivers’ import fees”. It seems that Haiti’s national economy, based upon bureaucracy, graft and corruption is already returning to normal.
