Hagan on the fence

Hillsborough County Commission chairman Ken Hagan has recently taken two very different “stands” on matters important to county voters.

In one instance, Hagan proclaims that the even though he doesn’t think it will pass; the 2035 Transportation Plan should be placed on the ballot because “voters should decide.”

Yet when it comes to the hotly debated County Mayor issue, Hagan refuses to even bring up the subject of putting it on the ballot because he feels “there has been no push for change among residents.”

Commissioner Hagen seems to be out of touch with county voter/taxpayers and unwilling to risk his political career by defending his position on controversial issues.
