USA – Grocery cart to the world

Nutrition Assistance for Puerto Rico is a fede...

Good News!

Finally, some good economic news from the US – Agricultural exports are expected to increase next year by over 5% to $113 BILLION according to the USDA.

Recent news articles about increased exports of pecans from Georgia to China and sweet potatoes from North Carolina to European markets, only hint at what will come.

Just as Ruskin Florida was once the “salad bowl of America” the US will again become the grocery cart to the world.

Much of this is a growing acceptance of the American brand in agriculture. Food safety and quality is becoming a deciding factor in choosing produce imported from the USA over questionable domestic produce.

We may be a long way off from the dominance of “Made in the USA” but we are getting closer to “Grown in the USA”.
