How to make a buck, or two
It used to be taught in business schools and around our daddy’s’ knee that “If you can make a buck from someone’s labor, hire a million workers.”
Today’s so-called “Job Creators” have learned instead that they can earn two bucks by having fewer workers and paying them reduced wages and benefits.
Job creators have learned that they can make four bucks by closing U.S. operations and sending the jobs overseas where wages and benefits are even much lower.
Job creators have learned that they can make ten bucks by not making anything and by not employing workers at all, by simply betting on the rise or fall of Wall Street securities.
There’s no way like the American way.
