Stop trying to be the police of the world
Instead of making it a condition of withdrawal of all U. S. Troops from Afghanistan that first the “bad guys” put down their guns, perhaps we should look at how successful we have been within our own borders.
Approximately 774,000 gang members and 27,900 gangs are estimated to have been active in the United States in 2008.
The number of gangs increased by 28 percent, and the number of gang members increased by 6 percent from 2002 to 2008.
Anyone care to venture a guess as to how many armed gang members there are in the United States today and how many innocent people are killed or injured by them each year?
We should bring home our troops today to clean up our own mess and keep our own streets safe.
